Alistair is the Chairman of Social Enterprise Solutions. In 2020 he was awarded an MBE for services to Social Enterprise. He is a thought leader in communications and strategist with extensive broadcast media management experience, gained in the North West.
After a 15-year career ‘on air’ as Head of News, he established a specialist media training firm, delivering seminars to some of the UK’s largest firms. Former agency work for global brands includes Tesco, Corona Extra and Knight Frank.
He is ambitious, enthusiastic and enjoys public speaking.

Alistair is CMI Level 7 in Management Coaching and Mentoring and has the Diploma in Business Support regularly delivering European-funded business advice.

Social Enterprise Solutions has been a leading member of our national infrastructure support organisation since 2008 and they have directly contributed to the development of SEUK in a number of ways; director, Clive Hirst, continues to provide a valuable contribution in his voluntary capacity as a council member. In addition, SES has developed a Social Enterprise Town concept collaboratively with Liverpool Hope University, ourselves and other key partners.
